This begins a cycle.<\/p>\n<p>The term \u201cpinched nerve\u201d is commonly used to describe the pain associated with a variety of conditions from subluxations, to tunnel syndromes to disc problems.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the time, a pinched nerve is an irritated, or inflamed nerve, but the nerve itself is not actually pinched. In most cases, when bones move out of place, joints, ligaments and muscles do not function properly and this will cause irritation to the area&#8230;ie. nerves. This condition is called a \u201csubluxation\u201d, the treatment of which is the specialty of the doctor of chiropractic.<\/p>\n<p>There are instances when nerves do become \u2018pinched\u2019, such as in Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Sciatica and Thoracic Outlet Syndrome.
